Es más una novela corta que una novela.
Pero empieza bien: Mei Lin no va a esperar a que un hombre cualquiera venga a reclamar su mano. Si la quiere, primero tendrá que derrotarla en una lucha con la espada.
Y, claro... en su mano está fingir la derrota si el mozo le interesa...

Bah. Prometía, pero no me ha convencido. Le pasa que como es tan corta, todo ocurre a una velocidad que para qué: el enamoramiento, el enfurruñamiento, la pasión, la aventura y el final feliz.
Nada nuevo bajo el sol, me temo. Y un poco demasiado moderna para ser la China Tang, también.
Aunque casi es lo de menos...
