2017 MC

March, 7th: The big sleep, by Raymond Chandler

In crime fiction master Raymond Chandler's iconic first novel, a dying millionaire hires private eye Philip Marlowe to handle the blackmailer of one of his two troublesome daughters, and Marlowe finds himself involved with more than extortion. Kidnapping, pornography, seduction, and murder are just a few of the complications he gets caught up in.

October, 5th:The Storm Sister by Lucinda Riley

Ally D'Aplièse is about to compete in one of the world's most perilous yacht races, when she hears the news of her adoptive father's sudden, mysterious death. Rushing back to meet her five sisters at their family home, she discovers that her father - an elusive billionaire affectionately known to his daughters as Pa Salt - has left each of them a tantalising clue to their true heritage.
Ally has also recently embarked on a deeply passionate love affair that will change her destiny forever. But with her life now turned upside down, Ally decides to leave the open seas and follow the trail that her father left her, which leads her to the icy beauty of Norway . . .
There, Ally begins to discover her roots - and how her story is inextricably bound to that of a young unknown singer, Anna Landvik, who lived there over a hundred years before, and sang in the first performance of Grieg's iconic music set to Ibsen's play 'Peer Gynt'. As Ally learns more about Anna, she also begins to question who her father, Pa Salt, really was. And why is the seventh sister missing?

* Please notice this is the second book in Riley's "The Seven Sisters" series. The first one is  The seven sisters.

As 2015 is aproaching I was wondering if someone is interested in joining me in English MC.

I have no particular book in mind, we could decide together and start by January, for instance. Something easy to start, or... a poll, maybe? Any suggestion?

Come on, don't be shy

Count me in!!

But I have January full of MC, I prefer february.

About books, I have lots of books, one is "the curious incident of the dog in the night time" by Mark Haddon. But I usually read all kind of classic in English so if you prefer classics or another genre.

I'm interested, depending on what you choose to read. If you go for "The Curious Incident..." I'm in! :D

I found "the curious incident..." so easily (I can mail it if anyone needs). I read it in Spanish a couple of years ago and I think it's not difficult to start. If we all agree, we can open our 2015's MC with it.

The first days of february are OK? I read The Curious Incident... in Spanish some years ago, but I don't mind to reread, this time in English.
