Title: The shell seekers
Author: Rosamunde Pilcher

At the end of a long and useful life, Penelope Keeling's prized possession is The Shell Seekers, painted by her father, and symbolizing her unconventional life, from bohemian childhood to wartime romance. But as she recalls the passions, tragedies, and secrets of her life, she knows there is only one answer...and it lies in her heart.

I have just read the first pages. I like Penelope Keeling :D and I like the way the story starts, you feel as reader directly comfortable and at home with the book. A very nice feeling!

I've started yesterday, but i read just the prologue, and I don't know why but at the beginning i thought in Penelope
as a young woman, but not, she's sixty-four

I am about to start chapter 5, Hank. Reading this book feels like watching a good soap on tv, once you start reading you get involved with the characters and you cannot stop until the chapter is finished!

I like the book so far, it's easy, entertaining and well-written. And these days that's all I ask for when reading  so I don't mind the characters or the story being rather predictible.

I'm in chapter 6 or 7 (i don't remember). It's called Lawrence.

I'm very, very sad because
of Cosmo is dead   When i read the story of Cosmo and Olivia I started thinking of Olivia coming back to Cosmo, but now it's not possible.
But of course I thought the same as Olivia about Antonia and Penelope living together.
Noel
I hope he didn't stole anything from Penelope's house, but i'm not sure. I don't trust him anymore. :x

I'm in chapter 8, learning more about Penelope's youth and how she met her husband. I have been wondering how on earth a woman like her could marry a man like that, but this chapter is giving a nice explanation.

I like the chapters starring Penelope most, her children are not so interesting by far. And besides, now Penelope has got some company
with Antonia and the young mysterious gardener, very intriguing! A pity Noel is also there, he's not to be trusted at all.

And i agree with you in everything, I like very much all about Penelope,
i'm so intriged about the gardener, and i think Antonia living with Penelope is a very good thing. Poor Penelope, what a children she has :x

I started it yesterday. As it's a long book I might catch up soon. I read 2 chapters and the prologue. How different are both sisters!

I'm really like this book, but yes, it's so long.

I'm in the biggest chapter, Richard is called, i don't remember the number.

I like Penelope, and in despite of she looks so happy with herself and her life, as we move froward her story we realized that her life wasn't an easy life.

I also like
Antonia and the misterious gardener, i want to know more about him, i think he's hidding a secret but i don't have any idea of what.
I'm very glad Penelope
has decided to sell the paintings and i hope she doesn't give any money to her children, they are really selfish.
Larousse how good to see you here :D

I've just finished reading the chapter called Richard, it's the most beautiful chapter i've read in this book,
what a beautiful love story, i wish they could end together, but we know that it wasn't happened, but i liked the same. I'm happy because Penelope has felt this kind of love in her life.
Now as i supposed, in the chapter called Doris
she comes back to her village with Antonia and Danus, the only ones who accepted going with her.
