Es una novela histórica: ambientada en el titanic. Me ha gustado la descripción del miedo, el pánico ante el accidente. Me he creído las emociones de los personajes en determinados momentos.

Está narrada en dos tiempos. una el de Maggie , que es la que va en el titanic embarcada con sus amigos, y que vive su historia de amor con seamus: la historia de las cartas es lo menos creíble de la historia, ni tampoco el secretismo que envuelve ella a su historia, que no la conocía ni su nieta. Y luego su historia de amor y lo que vive: tiene un paralelismo con el momento personal que atraviesa su nieta. Me ha sacado de la novela. lo de las cartas: que un pasajero las guardase años y años sin abrirlas igual que el abrigo. Lo de que una superviviente ocultase su historia a su propia familia y lo de que hayan querido jugar con lo de Seamus,
